John Martellaro Leaves The Mac Community To Pursue A Dream

The Mac world says good-bye to one of its most cherished resources today. John Martellaro of MacOPINION and Applelinks has ended his long running columns, Utopia Planitia and The Warp Core, after several years. Mr. Martellaro has long been our favorite author in the Mac community at The Mac Observer, and he will be sorely missed. Combining fiction, interesting stories, and some of the most insightful commentary I have personally read, his columns were among the few "must reads" every week. We would also invite you to read "How The Mac Changed The World: Making It Look Easy," a piece John did for The Mac Observer.

The good news is that Mr. MArtellaro is leaving these excellent columns because he has been able to pursue a dream he has had for many year. That dream has been to work for Apple. He will also continue to write fiction for Applelinks as time permits. You can find out all about that in the Final Warp Core column today.

John, you will be sorely missed, but we wish you the best of luck in his new position at Apple! You inspired us with your thought provoking work, and you entertained us with humor and fiction. You also inspired many of us to achieve new heights. For that, we thank you!
