Jupiter Research: No Leopard Delay

Following rumors that Apple is delaying the release of Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), Jupiter Research analyst Michael Gartenberg said it isnit so. He stated "Just spoke with Apple who confirmed the reports are wrong and Leopard is still scheduled to ship in this spring as they previously announced."

Appleis comments were in response to a report from DigiTimes claiming that Leopard was being delayed until October to add enhanced support for Microsoftis Windows Vista operating system. Rumors and speculation about the actual ship date of Leopard are all over the board and range from March 27 to DigiTimeis report of some time in October.

The most likely window for unveiling Mac OS X 10.5 will be at Appleis World Wide Developer Conference where the company will have the full attention of developers and the media. The Wold Wide Developer Conference starts on June 11 in San Francisco.
