Karelia Updates Watson With Improved Combo Search Fields

Karelia Software has released an update for Watson, bringing it to version1.7. Watson is a Web based desktop interface designed to simplify Web browsing and bookmarking. The update features "combo" search field support and improved font configuration. According to Karelia Software:

Karelia Software today announced the release of Watson 1.7, a free upgrade to its Eddy-award-winning desktop interface to over twenty of the most popular Web services and content.

This minor update brings forth some of the most popular enhancement requests from the Watson user community.

The 1.7 version of Watson also brings a revamped iEpicuriousi cooking tool into the Watson family. Originally a popular third-party contribution, this bundled plug-in now features bookmarks and batch loading of recipes.

Todayis release also includes the following enhancements:

  • Most search input fields now are "combo boxes," storing the last dozen search terms in them
  • The user can now configure the fonts used for display in lists, browsers, and blocks of text
  • In the popular PriceGrabber tool, the categories of Apparel, Jewelry, and Photography are now included
