Karelia Updates Watson With New Search Prefs

Karelia Software has released an update for Watson, bringing it to version1.7.1. Watson is a Web desktop interface designed to simplify Web browsing and bookmarking. The update features new search preferences and minor bug fixes. According to Karelia Software:

Karelia Software today announced the release of Watson 1.7.1, a free upgrade to its Eddy-award-winning desktop interface to over twenty of the most popular Web services and content.

Todayis update to Watson includes the following enhancements:

  • Fix problem clicking on "relative" links from HTML views, especially noticeable in SiteSearch
  • Add "Clear Searches" menu to remove history of search terms
  • New preferences for setting the number of searches remembered in the search "combo boxes"; new preference for these fields to auto-complete
  • Amazon, Epicurious, PriceGrabber, Movies now all can drag from their preview images into Spring (1.3 and up), the desktop, etc
  • Minor updates and fixes to PriceGrabber, Epicurious, eBay, Translation, Phone, Weather, Movies
