Keyboard Maestro Gets An Update

ClaireWare Software has released an update for Keyboard Maestro, bringing it to version 1.1.0.. Keyboard Maestro is an OS X hot key utility designed for faster keystroke functionality. The update includes improved hot key actions and other enhancements. According to ClaireWare Software:

ClaireWare is pleased to announce the release of Keyboard Maestro v1.1.0 for Mac OS X.

For anybody who works on their Mac, Keyboard Maestro is an essential utility to perform many different tasks simply by pressing a few keys. Keyboard Maestro allows you to spend more time working and less time mousing, clicking, and typing to get your work done. Keyboard Maestro has three core features built into it to make working on the Mac much simpler: Hot Keys, Program Switcher, and Clipboard Switcher.

New features in version 1.1.0 include:

  • Program Switcher is now FREE - there is no longer any use limitation to Program Switcher in the free Lite version
  • Multi-Action hot keys - by stringing together more than one action, Keyboard Maestro can create macros for any application
  • Move and/or Click Mouse action - Now you can script previously unscriptable applications by generating strategically placed mouse clicks
  • Restart, Shutdown and Sleep system actions
  • Open/Close CD/DVD Tray action - opens the CD/DVD tray even if there is no media in it, useful for anybody without an Apple keyboard!
  • Activate Screen Saver action
  • Integration with Default Folder X - If an Open/Save dialog is active, Open Folder/File hot keys will select the item in the dialog rather than the Finder
  • Improved application data saving
  • Fixed a bug which occasionally caused the editor to crash
