Konfabulator Updated With Bug Fixes And More Languages

· by Mike Washlesky · News

Arlo Rose and Perry Clarke have released an update for Konfabulator, bringing it to version 1.5.1. Konfabulator is a JavaScript engine designed for creating desktop Widgets. The update features several bug fixes and expanded language support. According to Arlo Rose and Perry Clarke:

We love stability and quality. With this latest point release weive done our best to address all the issues our users have reported.

Konfabulator is a JavaScript runtime engine for Mac OS X that lets you run little files called Widgets that can do pretty much whatever you want them to. Widgets can be alarm clocks, games, can tell you your AirPort signal strength, will fetch the latest stock quotes for your preferred symbols, and even give your current local weather.

These are just some of the various issues addressed in this release:

  • Users with UPSs and 10.2.8 will no longer experience a crash on startup
  • Users with AirPorts running on a closed network can now use AirPort Widgets
  • Images are no longer cached forever, fixing memory issues with the Picture Frame
  • Stuffitis context menu item is no longer injected into our Gear menu
  • Italian, Russian and French translations have been added

You can find more information about the Konfabultor update at the Konfabulator Home Page. Konfabulator is available as freeware.
