· by Mike Washlesky · News

Arlo Rose and Perry Clarke have released an update for Konfabulator, bringing it to version 1.5.6. Konfabulator is a JavaScript engine designed for creating desktop Widgets. The update features improved Widget behavior and bug fixes. According to Arlo Rose and Perry Clarke:

Since the release of Mac OS X 10.3, Panther, weive all be quite fond of Exposé. The one nagging issue for us and our users has been that there was no way to make Desktop level Widgets (that are essentially part of your desktop picture) stay put during a desktop expose.

Well no more! With this latest version of Konfabulator Desktop level Widgets now stay put making that vital Widget goodness viewable with the tap of a key.

Weive also fixed a couple of visual glitches with rotating images and sliding text, and added several new JavaScript calls to get at common system folders.

You can find more information about the Konfabulator update at the Konfabulator Home Page. Konfabulator is available as freeware.
