Konica Minolta Announces DiMAGE Z20 with 5MP Resolution

Konica Minolta USA announced Friday an upgrade to the existing DiMAGE Z10 model that ups that models 3.2 megapixel resolution to 5.0 megapixel.

The DiMAGE Z20 (see photo below) retains the same 8x optical zoom lens and a and 4x digital zoom to combine for 32x total zoom, electronic viewfinder and 1.50-inch LCD display as its predecessor.

Imaging Resource: Other features include a burst mode of 1 frame per second, full manual controls, internal flash, 15fps VGA movie mode, 14.5MB of built-in memory and Secure Digital removeable storage, NTSC / PAL video and USB connectivity.

The DiMAGE Z20 has the fastest startup time in its class at 0.5 seconds. Power by four AA batteries, the new model shoots 450 photos, the most in its class, the company said in a prepared statement.

Pricing and availability for the DiMAGE Z20 have not yet been announced.
