LaCie Announces Triple Interface, Designer Hard Disks

On Thursday, LaCie announced the immediate availability of its Triple Interface hard disks designed by Neil Poulton. The mirror black drives with a blue LED glow feature USB 2.0, eSATA, and FireWire 400 connections with the 500 GB version starting at US$149.

The drives are available in 500 GB, 750 GB and 1 TB sizes.

The device can connect to any universal Hi-Speed USB 2.0, eSATA, or FireWire 400 interface port for cross-platform compatibility with either a PC or Mac. Plug and play setup is simple and efficient with Windows? 2000, XP, Vista, and Mac OS X 10.3 or higher," LaCie said.

The Triple Interface drives are immediately available from LaCie in addition to their dealer network. The 500 GB drive is priced at US$149.99, 750 GB at $229.99 and 1 TB at $339.99.
