LaCie Bumps d2 SAFE HD to 1TB

LaCie announced the immediate availability of a 1TB version of its d2 SAFE hard drive on Wednesday. Just like its 500GB counterpart, the 1TB d2 SAFE supports AES 128-bit hardware encryption.

It also includes biometric fingerprint access with support for up to five users with two finger prints each, customized access privileges for each user, a FireWire 400 port, two FireWire 800 ports, a USB 2.0 port, and a chain lock port to physically secure the drive.

The 1TB d2 SAFE hard drive is priced at US$579.99.
