LaCie Springs New Hard Drives at CES

LAS VEGAS -- LaCie announced the immediate availability of five new hard drive models at CES on Monday. The drives sport features like quad interfaces, high capacities, home theater support, and more.

The freshly redesigned d2 Quadra includes USB 2.0, FireWire 400, FireWire 800, and eSATA interfaces, and is available in capacities ranging from 320GB up to 1TB. Pricing starts at US$189.


LaCieis d2 Quadra

The portable Little Big Disk Quadra also offers a quad interface with overall speeds that match the d2 Quadra. It is available in 7200RPM 400GB and 5400RPM 500GB capacities starting at $475.


The Little Big Disk Quadra

The LaCinema Premier is a USB 2.0 hard drive geared towards home entertainment centers. LaCie states that users can transfer their movies, music, and photos to the drive from a computer and then connect the drive to their TV for playback. It includes an optical audio out port, a remote control, and is available in 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB capacities. Pricing starts at $229.


The LaCinema Premier

The Big Disk Extreme+ eSATA and USB 2.0 dual interface hard drive comes in 1TB, 1.5TB, and 2TB capacities and includes EMC Retrospect data backup software. It supports RAID 0 and 125MB/s burst data transfer rates. It will be available on February with pricing starting at $360.
