Lenovo Laptop With Sony Battery Bursts Into Flames

| News

A Lenovo Thinkpad T43 laptop equipped with the same Sony battery currently involved in recalls by Dell and Apple burst into flames at the Los Angeles International Airport this past Saturday. A spokesman for the computer manufacturer confirmed with Macworld UK that the incident was likely caused by a defective battery.

He added that Lenovo has the laptop in its possession and is "looking at it further right now. The investigation will take another 24 to 48 hours and then we will do whatever is in the best interests of our customers."
