Leopard: Check Out Fonts with Quick Look

· by · Tips

Quick Look is a great addition to Mac OS X 10.5 because it lets you view file without having to launch any applications, or without even having to install the application that created the document. That features works with other items on your hard drive, too, including fonts.

To preview a font, just select it and tap the Space bar. Just like any other document Quick Look recognizes youill see a preview, but in this case youill see a sample of the font instead of the contents of a document.

Quick Look previews fonts, too.

You donit need to load the font for use in applications to take advantage of Quick Lookis font preview, so this is an easy way to check out a font before adding it to your system.
