Leopard Shows Up Online

Files claiming to be the preview version of Mac OS X 10.5 released to developers at Appleis World Wide Developer Conference last week have begun appearing on several Web sites. According to ZDNet, the file is showing up with the name ""APPLE MAC OSX LEOPARD V10 5 WWDC PREVIEW-BETAOSX 443061 499."

The nondisclosure agreement Apple has with developers that attend the conference prohibits them from revealing information about Mac OS X 10.5, or Leopard, to the public. The agreement also prohibits them from distributing the software - which means that downloadable copies of the operating system are being distributed without Appleis permission.

TMO has attempted to verify the authenticity of the Leopard downloads, but so far has been unsuccessful.
