Local Newspaper Leaks Apple Store Opening In St. Louis, 2nd Store To Open In Minnesota

According to a story from the Business Section of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Apple will be opening a new retail Apple Store in that city. The new Apple Store will be opening when renovations are finished to the West County Center near St. Louis. The mall is scheduled to open September 20.

Apple has so far been tight-lipped about when and where its new retail stores will open, but the source on the story appears to be the shopping mall itself. This sort of leak has occurred before, though Apple may be loosening the reigns on future locations now that its stores are fairly established. From the article:

West County Center has signed about a dozen retailers that will open their first stores in the St. Louis area, mall representatives said Monday. Galyanis Trading Co., which sells sporting goods, ranks among the recent signings.

Other companies new to the area that will open include Apple Computer, footwear retailer Steve Madden and apparel retailer Coldwater Creek.

A help wanted announcement for another Apple Store in Edina, MN was noticed by our own Rodney O. Lain. That new store will be in Southdale Mall.
