Logitech Debuts mm22 iPod Speakers

Logitech announced Wednesday the mm22 portable speaker system for the iPod and other digital media devices.

The system includes a total of four neodymium micro drivers, two on each side, and weighes 12 ounces including batteries. The speaker system fold neatly into a deluxe traveling case that?s about the size of a hard cover book, the company said in a prepared statement.

The Logitech mm22 (see photo below) portable speakers include three custom cradles to fit any size of hard drive-based iPod and many other portable music players. The speaker system is powered by either batteries or the included AC adapter. The traveling case holds the speakers, an Ipod or other similar digital media device, the international power adapter (100-240V), two speaker cables: a 10-inch cable for connecting the speakers to the portable audio player, and a 24-inch cable to connect the speakers to a laptop.

The Logitech mm22 portable speakers will be available in retail stores and online at the end of March throughout the U.S. and Europe. The system retails for US$79.99.
