M CE Technologies will begin shipping its new Lucid M8X Portable FireWire Dual-Layer DVD?RW drive Tuesday. The M8X can burn at 8x to both DVD+R and DVD-R media, and can also burn to DVD+RW and DVD-RW media, including dual-layer discs. Lastly, the drive can burn CD-R/W media at 24x and read CDs at 24x.
