MUG Hosts Mac Trivia Show

The User Group Adisory Board, the Mug Center, and World Without Borders have teamed to host the MUG Trivia Shootout. The trivia contest will feature members from various user groups throughout the country competing for great prizes, including Microsoft Office 2001. According to the MUG Center:

Macintosh User Group Trivia Shootout Announced!

The User Group Advisory Board and The MUG Center are proud to partner with World Without Borders (WWB) to present the first MUG Trivia Shootout on October 12th as part of WWBis MacEvent Week!

Macintosh User Group leaders and members in good standing are invited to compete with their peers in a contest that combines knowledge, speed, and accuracy. Contestants will be challenged to answer questions from a variety of categories including, Technical, Apple History & Lore, Fun Stuff, and Miscellaneous. Non-MUG members are invited to join the event and cheer on their favorite contestants and teams.

Prizes for the event have been graciously donated in support of the event and include Microsoft Office 2001 by Microsoft, National Geographicis First 110 Years by National Geographic, and a prize bundle from Aladdin Systems which includes Stuffit Deluxe, Sundial, and Spring Cleaning.

The MUG Trivia Shootout is part of World Without Bordersi MacEvent, a week of unique chats with notable individuals and celebrities from the Macintosh universe. MacEvent starts on Monday, October 9th and concludes on Friday, October 13th, and includes "The State of Java On The Mac" with Steve Naroff, Senior Director, Java and Core Tools, Apple, MacBytes with Chris Breen, The Mac Show with Shawn King and Hilary Percy, and much more.
