MXL Introduced Two New USB MicMate Adapters

LAS VEGAS, NV -- MXL introduced two new MicMate adapters at this weekis New Media Expo, devices that allow users to convert just about any microphone into a USB audio input device. The company introduced the USB Mic Mate Pro and Mic Mate Dynamic.

Mike Descher, Business Development Manager, told us more about the new products on the floor of NME.

The first product is the USB Mic Mate Pro. This compact universal interface allows the connection of microphones directly to a computer via USB, effectively converting your existing microphone into a USB microphone. You can start recording without any special driver installations – simply plug-and-play. To further simplify use, the MXL Mic Mate Pro handles microphone gain and headphone volume adjustments with low profile rotary knobs, while the built-in headphone jack allows for zero-latency direct monitoring.

The Mic Mate Pro is priced at $99.95.


USB Mic Mate Pro

The second product is the MXL Mic Mate Dynamic. This universal interface facilitates the connection of dynamic microphones, such as the Shure SM58/57 and RE-15, directly to a computer via USB – effectively converting any dynamic microphone into a USB microphone. Installation is quick and effortless. The MXL Mic Mate Dynamic handles analog gain adjustment settings via a built-in three-position attenuation switch.

The Mic Mate Dynamic is priced at $69.95, and MXL has not yet added information about the device to its Web site.
