MacBU Offers BFD Offer for Mac Office

· by · News

Microsoftis Mac Business Unit (MacBU) announced Wednesday the BFD -- the Best Friday Deal. The BFD allows those who purchase Office 2004 for Mac on Friday November 23rd to get a US$100 rebate and a free copy of Office 2008 for Mac when it is released, plus shipping costs.

The offer requires you to download a coupon from Microsoft, and send it in to the company with accompanying proofs of purchase. Microsoft was already offering free upgrades to Office 2008 for Mac with the purchase of the current version, which means the BFD adds the $100 rebate.

The MacBU said that the coupon would be available on the SuperSuite Deal Web page on Friday, November 23rd, the day of the offer. If you wish to download it before then, the company provided TMO with a direct download link. A MacBU spokesperson also clarified for us that you can purchase Office 2004 for Mac from any retailer, as long as it is the full retail boxed version of the software. Amazon is currently offering the Standard Edition for $299.99.

The specifics of the BFD:
