MacBook Pro Battery Update 1.3 Addresses Performance Issues

Apple released Battery Update 1.3 for the MacBook Pro on Wednesday. The battery firmware update addresses battery performance issues on the companyis 15-inch display pro-level laptops.

Battery Update 1.3 supports 15-inch, 15-inch glossy display, 15-inch Core 2 Duo, and 15-inch 2.2GHz and 2.4GHz MacBook Pro models.

Apple warns that the laptopis power cord must be plugged in and connected to a working power source during the update process. Additional batteries will automatically update when connected to your Mac.

The update is free and requires Mac OS X 10.4.10. It is availalbe through Software Update or as a stand alone installer.
