MacPlay will be shipping shortly a new game for Mac users, Another War. Another War is a RPG styled game set in the European theater of conflict during WWII. While searching for a friend being held captive by the evil Nazis, players travel to various locales and gather information necessary to complete the mission. According to MacPlay:

MacPlay, a subsidiary of United Developers, LLC, would like to introduce you to a role-playing game of a different kind: Another War, the second title in the company’s distribution agreement with British publisher Virtual Programming.

Set during World War II, Another War tells the story of an adventurer who tries to rescue his friend from Germans in Nazi-occupied France and becomes trapped in a web of intrigue. The storyline eventually takes the player to battle-scarred Leningrad, where Soviet and German engineers guard a secret project that could turn the tide of the war.

The game’s interface is reminiscent of such classic role-playing titles as Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn™ and Fallout™ while the 2D isometric graphics convey the rich detail of the time period. Another War also offers active lighting, smoke, explosions and other affects, as well as surround sound for the ultimate sonic experience.
