MacPractice MD, DDS, DC Get Universal Binaries

MacPractice Inc. on Wednesday issued Universal Binaries for its MacPractice MD, DDS and DC applications, which provide healthcare practice management solutions for doctors, dentists and chiropractors, respectively. Information about upgrade costs and system requirements were not available on the companyis Web site as The Mac Observer posted this article.

The software offers such features as integrated accounting, multi-resource scheduling, insurance and patient billing and tracking, integrated word processing, to-do lists, medical and dental imaging and more. The companyis future development plans include EMR (Electronic Medical Record), DR (Digital Radiography) and TC (Tooth Chart) applications.

MacPractice president Mark Hollis said in a statement: "Using Appleis Xcode developer tools we created Universal versions of all three of our applications in one hour. The gain in performance of our applications on the new Intel-based Macs is truly dramatic and MacPractice plans to introduce many new Universal products for healthcare professionals."
