MacSense To Bring AirPort Base Station With Multiple Ethernet Ports

MacSense, the maker of the Xrouter and other Mac peripherals, told The Mac Observer that they will be bringing an AirPort base station to market that includes multiple Ethernet ports. The device will effectively combine an AirPort base station with the Xrouter in order to provide more secure connections for networks needing them. The company is hoping to ship the product in "about six months" and they are hoping to come under US$500, though pricing has not yet been set.

MacSense was also showing a new wireless mouse that operated at 900 MHz, a frequency the company says will make their product usable.

In the FireWire world, MacSense has introduced a CardBus FireWire card and a PCI FireWire card that allow users to plug a power supply directly into the card. This will allow users to provide power along the bus to those FireWire products that might normally require an external supply.
