MacVCD Update Features Super VCD Support

Mireth Technology has released an update for MacVCD, bringing it to version 4.1. MacVCD is a Video CD player designed for chaining video tracks together for seamless playback. The update features performance enhancements including Super VCD support. According to Mireth Technology:

Mireth Technology has released version 4.1 of MacVCD X for Mac OS X.

This release of our popular Video CD player adds support for Super VCD playback (with the purchase of Appleis Quicktime MPEG2 component), adds playback in a re-sizeable floating window, adds the repeat track feature, ensures OS 10.2 compatibility, and provides improved playback on slower machines.

MacVCD X is the easy-to-use, full featured Video CD and Super VCD Player for the Macintosh. VCD movies are frequently stored in multiple files (called tracks) and because of CD storage size limitations, are often stored on more than one disk. MacVCD X recognizes the VCD format, finds, loads and plays the movie for you, automatically chaining the tracks together and ejecting the disk when itis done. Sit back and enjoy the movie on full screen, or even on your TV, with no interruptions except to insert the next disk.

You can find more information about the MacVCD update at the Mireth Technology Web site. MacVCD 4.1 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$19.95.
