· by · News

Zonic has released an update to SwapTop, an alternative client for WebShots. WebShots is a service which provides a new or random desktop image for Windows users, and SwapTop lets you use that service on your Mac. The new version of SwapTop, version 1.1, includes improved performance and new features. According to Zonic:

Zonic has released SwapTop 1.1, an update to their popular Mac client for the WebShots desktop picture service. SwapTop allows Mac users to set up a schedule to automatically download a random desktop picture each day, to download a featured daily picture, and to search the WebShots image archive.

The latest version, 1.1, improves compatibility with the WebShots file format, adds an image archive to allow access to previously downloaded desktop pictures, and includes numerous minor bug fixes.

SwapTop runs natively on Mac OS X and fully supports multiple monitors.

You can find more information on SwapTop at Zonicis Web site. The update is free to registered owners, and the full version is priced at US$15, shareware.
