Mac Game Developers: Last Call For uDevGames 2004 Entries

T he good people at iDevGames are reminding everyone that this is the last call for entries for the uDevGames 2004 Mac Game Developer Contest. Registration for the contest ends on October 25th, and final submissions are due on November 6th.

In addition, there is a $10 entry fee for the contest, which is due November 1st. Voting for the contest begins on November 8th.

uDevGames is a Mac-only game development contest that was first established in 2001. The contestis intention is to promote original Mac gaming, and this year (as of this writing) there are 64 entries to the contest. Thatis 64 new Mac games for the Mac gaming community.

Categories in this yearis competition that are open to public voting are Gameplay, Graphics, Audio, Originality, Story, and Polish. uDevGames is awarding prizes to the top three entries in each category.

Awards are also offered for the special categories of Best Overall, Game, Best Newcomer, and an Editoris Choice Prize, all of which will be determined by uDevGames personnel.

The prize pool for this yearis contest dwarfs that of previous contest, with more than 100 prizes valued at more than $20,000. Check out the prize for a full list of prize-sponsors, which reads like a whois who in the Mac community.
