WeatherBug has released the Mac version of WeatherBug Lite, a utility that enables users to obtain weather forecasts through their menu bars. The company also debuted a WeatherBug podcast that gives a daily one-minute audio recap of national weather, an RSS feed, an automated Skype and instant messenger contact for getting recent weather forecasts and more.
A WeatherBug API that lets software developers build the applicationis functionality into their products was also released. WeatherBug Plus offers more features than the Lite version, including historical data and customizable options, but itis not available for the Mac yet. WeatherBug Lite for the Mac requires Mac OS X v10.2.x or higher.
