Mandolux Posts New Desktops

Mandolux has released new desktops for download today. The desktops are images for use as the background on Macs, and represent anywhere from abstract imagery to dual monitor desktop configs. According to Mandolux:

I would like to inform you that mandolux (http://www.mandolux.com) has issued seven new desktops this week: four Vector-based (Solar Eclipse/Abstract), two Auguste Rodin (Art), and one American Flag (close-up).

About the desktops:

  • The latest Vector-based desktop is a Giant Dual Monitor Setup titled SOL. Over a week ago, I was given a request for a solar eclipse desktop and what you’ll see on my site is my first attempt. The composition of the desktop set is based on a total solar eclipse with the diamond ring effect
  • It’s been a long time since the last Auguste Rodin desktop and the latest one is a photograph of the statue Monumental Head of Pierre de Wiessant located in the south garden entrance of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (my favorite museum here in Southern California). How I wished I had money to go to the amazing Rodin Museum at the Philadelphia Museum of Art!
  • Lastly, in celebration of the landing of the Mars Rover Explorer Spirit, I have a new US flag desktop available. This is more like a close-up photograph of the stars and stripes with greater usage of shadows than the previous flags

You can find more information about the new desktops at the Mandolux Web site. The desktops are available as free downloads.
