Mandolux Posts New Desktops

Mandolux has released new desktops for download today. The desktops are images for use as the background on Macs, and represent anywhere from abstract imagery to dual monitor desktop configs. According to Mandolux:

Mandolux has issued four new desktops in collaboration with the Iconfactory: two Vector-based (Techno/Abstract) and two Cosmos (Earth). All desktops are giant dual monitor desktop sets.

About the desktops:

Last Friday, I got an email from Gedeon Maheux of the Iconfactory (http://www.iconfactory.com) wanting to know if I could create a desktop for an upcoming icon set about the early development of the US space program (Mercury/Gemini/Apollo). I knew it was going to be a challenge and I took it (it sure looked like a lot of fun)! The first desktop set is a picture of Earth with a wonderful bluish ocean with many clouds

On that same day, I started work on a Vector-based desktop titled Flightplan - and the first thing that pop in my head was John Glenn and the Mercury 6. Flightplan is a montage on everything about the spacecraft, the flight and landing of the Mercury 6 set in a techno-induced style. This is a killer desktop!

You can find more information about the new desktops at the Mandolux Web site. The desktops are available as free downloads.
