Mandolux Posts New Desktops

· by Mike Washlesky · News

Mandolux has released new desktops for download today. The desktops are images for use as the background on Macs, and represent anywhere from abstract imagery to dual monitor desktop configs. According to Mandolux:

mandolux has issued three new desktops: one Bonzai/Taran (Orchids/Giant), one Mesopotamia (Antiquity/Stone), and one Cap (Dodgers/Giant).

About the desktops:

  • There is a new Giant Bonzai/Taran desktop titled Shadowy Orchids. As the name implies, this is a photograph of an orchid (genus unknown) in the shadows. The wonderful thing about this new wallpaper is the role of light in bathing the orchid and surrounding plants
  • The newest Mesopotamian desktop is titled Wing Detail with Snake. A close-up view of one of the wonderful temple slabs of Apkallu found at my favorite= museum in all Southern California - Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)
  • Lastly, on Monday in celebration of opening day for baseball, I issued a new Cap desktop of my favorite team: the Dodgers! This is a giant and normal desktop of the blue-and-white caprt depth-of field (DOF) when I took this photo last year and I hope you’ll enjoy it

You can find more information about the new desktops at the Mandolux Web site. The desktops are available as free downloads.
