Marratech-Free Offers Video Conferencing For Everyone

Marratech on Monday introduced Marratech-Free, a freeware edition of its video conferencing software that allows anyone to host video chats online. It supports up to five participants and includes interactive whiteboard features. Marratech-Free includes three virtual meeting rooms designed for different bandwidth needs; users choose the room they want and e-mail a link to invitees, who donit need to download a client application to join the session.

Users who want to share applications, exchange files, record events or perform other tasks not found in the freeware will have to look at the developeris Marratech Time-To-Meet and Marratech Full License products. Marratech-Free requires a broadband Internet connection as well as Mac OS X v10.3 or v10.4, a 1GHz G4 processor and 512MB RAM.
