Wolfram Research released Mathematica 6 on Tuesday. The new version of the scientific and technical computing application added the ability to create sophisticated interactive interfaces from single lines of input, auto-integrate hundreds of standard data formats, and automatically build high-fidelity function and data graphics. It also improved support for extended number theory, high-level string computation, equational theorem proving, real time code annotation, instant high-level debugging, and more.

Mathematica 6 is available at the Mathematica Web site, and is priced at US$2,495.
