Maya 8.5 Adds Intel Mac Support

Autodesk announced the immediate availability of Maya 8.5 on Monday. The new version of the 3D rendering application is Universal Binary, allowing it to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs, adds new nCloth fabric controls, supports Maya Nucleus technology and Python, takes advantage of mental ray Shaders and Workflow, supports transfer polygon attributes and more.

Maya 8.5 is priced starting at US$1,999.
