· by Brad Gibson · News

Mediafour Corp. has released MacDrive 6, with added support for Windows XP, 2000 and 2003 and the ability to burn recordable and rewritable Mac CDs and Mac DVDs.

The cross-platform file sharing package also now offers the ability to partition Mac hard drives, international file name support, a new way to make backups of Mac disks through Windows using a special file naming mode that causes MacDrive to output Unicode file names, and global settings that can now be adjusted on a drive-by-drive basis.

MacDrive 6 requires Windows XP, 2000, 2003 Server, Me or 98SE. The full version is US$50, while upgrades are $20. The boxed version is expected to ship at the end of September.
