Micronet Introduces MegaDisk NAS with iTunes Server

Micronet Technology announced the immediate availability of its new Fantom Drives G-Force MegaDisk NAS appliance on Friday. The NAS RAID hard drive system targets SOHO and home users, and includes features found on the higher end Platinum NAS lineup at a lower price along with a built-in iTunes server.

The G-Force MegaDisk NAS iTunes server supports MP3 and MP4 content as well as properly authorized content purchased from the iTunes Store. It supports RAID 0 RAID 1, JBOD, and SPAN, includes Gigabit Ethernet, dual USB 2.0 ports for additional expansion, shares USB-based printers, and can be managed from a Web-based interface.

The NAS also includes a free five-user license of NTI Softwareis Shadow zero-touch backup software to automate workstation backups. The G-Force MegaDisk NAS is priced at US$339 for 1TB, $579 for 1.5TB, and $999 for 2TB.
