Miglia, Elgato Intro USB TV Stick Called TVMini

Miglia Technology and Elgato on Monday jointly introduced TVMini, a USB 2.0 stick that enables watching, pausing, recording and rewinding TV shows on a Mac. The device, which the companies noted is the same size as an iPod shuffle, comes with Elgatois EyeTV software for recording shows straight to the hard drive.

EyeTV enables users to time shift live, over-the-air European TV by pausing, rewinding or fast-forwarding it, much like a TiVo unit can. They can also use the software to edit recordings and archive them to DVD, SVCD or VideoCD, as well as export content to iMovie HD, iDVD, Final Cut Pro/Express HD or DVD Studio Pro.

TVMini sells for €149 (US$181) and requires Mac OS X v10.3.9 or higher, a 500MHz G4 processor, 256MB RAM and a USB 2.0 port. It comes with an infrared remote control, a portable TV antenna, an adapter for connecting to a roof-mounted antenna and a USB 2.0 extension cable.
