MiniHitch: DIY iMac - Sort Of

· by · News

The MiniHitch from CompWave takes a unique approach to saving desk space by mounting your Mac mini to the back of your LCD display. The acrylic bracket attaches to the VESA mounting holes found on the back of many LCD monitors, holding your Mac mini out of the way without obstructing its optical drive slot, USB, FireWire, and power connection ports. It is not compatible with the Apple Cinema Display product line, or any other monitor that uses the VESA mounting holes for its support stand.

The MiniHitch holds a Mac mini behind your display.

CompWave also offers the CamHitch, which mounts an iSight camera above the display. It works alone or with the MiniHitch.

The MiniHitch is available at the CompWave Web site, and is priced at US$49.95, or $64.95 as shown with the optional CamHitch. The CamHitch costs $15.95.
