Moixa Announces USB Rechargeable Batteries

Moixa Energy announced the immediate availability of the USBCELL rechargeable battery on Wednesday. Unlike other rechargeable batteries, these feature a built-in USB recharging plug, and donit require a special charging station. The NiMH batteries work with wireless mice and keyboards, digital cameras, portable gaming systems, and other devices that require AA power supplies. They include a charge indicator light, and take about five hours to reach 90 percent capacity when fully drained.

Currently, the batteries are available in AA, but additional sizes, as well as specialized phone and camera batteries are in development. A two-pack of USBCELL AA batteries is priced at ?12.99 (about US$24.45). They are available in the U.K. now, and will be available in other countries soon.
