· by · News

Many consider the iPod to be a sort of Trojan Horse for Apple (usually expressed as the iPod Halo Effect), but The Motley Foolis Jeremy MacNealy called Appleis iLife suite the companyis "other Trojan Horse."

Noting the iLife gets a fraction of iPodis press, Mr. MacNealy said that "nonetheless, it is a critical component for bringing new buyers to the Mac." Being capable of editing and creating "some of lifeis most precious moments" is a powerful draw to many consumers.

He also suggested that the software is a gateway product that gets consumers used to Appleis professional editing software (Logic, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, etc.).
