NEC on Monday introduced its new MultiSync 90-Series LCD monitors, which replace the 80-series. The company pointed to 25 new or improved features in the displays, including the "i" modelsi in-plane switching (IPS) technology, which minimizes off-angle color shift, and the "p" modelsi vertical alignment (VA) technology, which improves overall image quality and enables high contrast ratios and faster response times.
The "i" models feature 19- and 20-inch displays that are available now, with a 21-inch version that will ship in mid-April. The 19- and 21-inch "p" models will ship this spring, according to NEC.
