Native Instruments Announces New Audio Products

German music software instrument maker Native Instruments announced Friday a number of new product updates, including a new version of its Reaktor instrument collection.

Electronic Instruments 2 XT is a new version with eight programmable software instruments. It includes new DJ presets. It will be released in Feburary and retail for US$169.

NI Komplete Sound is a collection of sounds from the companyis own software instruments. It includes Synthetic Drums, Reaktor Electronic Instruments Vols. 1 and 2, Battery Studio Drums, FM7 Sounds Vols. 1 and 2, and Absynth Sounds Vol. 1. It will be available in March for $339.

Kontakt 2, at $579, updates the sampler software with unlimited polyphony and 64-part multi-timbrality as well as support for multiprocessor PCs. It is also optimized for Mac G4 and G5 processors. It will be available in March.
