· by · News

NewsGator announced the immediate availability of NetNewsWire 3.1 for the Mac on Wednesday. In addition to support for HTML archiving, the RSS and news reader application is now free.

Version 3.1 also improved performance for the Combined View, added pagination for long lists, groups items based on column sorting, added the ability to select multiple news items for flagging, marking as read, or opening in a Web browser, updated the tool bar icons, fixed several bugs, and more.

NewsGator also announced that its news synchronization services, including the NewsGator Go! products, are now free as well.

Users that purchased NewsGator RSS products on or after December 9, 2007 will automatically receive a refund to the credit card used when buying their license codes.

NetNewsWire 3.1 is available for download at the NewsGator Web site.
