Netgear Unveils First Available 108 Mbps Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router

Netgear Inc. on Monday unveiled the Super Wireless ADSL Modem Router.

The company claims the new networking product is the first 108 Megabit per second wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router that combines an ADSL2+ modem, a router, a four-port 10/100 LAN switch, an SPI double firewall and a 108Mbps "Super G" wireless access point.

Its Ethernet ports are capable of speeds up to 200Mbps, and it can share one IP address with up to 253 users. It also features Universal Plug and Play, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) pass-through, and a firewall that can filter content and optionally issue e-mail alerts to users.
