Aspyr Media announced on Tuesday that Neverwinter Nights 2 for the Mac has been declared gold and will begin shipping next week. The single-player game puts players in the world of the Forgotten Realms to rise from a peasant to a hero while defending the Realms.

Neverwinter Nights 2 lets players build their own characters, choose their skills, add non-playing characters to their campaigns, and join in multi-player campaigns with their friends.
The Mac version does not, however, include the NWN2 Toolset so players wonit be able to create their own custom campaigns or content. They also canit join in multi-player games with PC users that are playing on custom maps.
Neverwinter Nights 2 is available for pre-order at the Aspyr Web site for US$49.99.
