New 12" iBook Battery Boosts Capacity by 31%

Newer Technology, Inc. on Thursday introduced a new replacement battery for the 12-inch iBook, offering up to 31% more capacity than Appleis original. The 45.5 watt hour battery sells for US$99.95 and is compatible with G3 and G4 iBook models dating back to 2001, when the "clamshell" form factor was discontinued. The company also sells a 53 watt hour 12-inch iBook battery ($119.99) that offers up to 50% more capacity.
