New Company To Offer Cheap Mac Stuff

MacResQ and MacWorks, companies focusing in the resale of used Mac equipment are preparing to merge forming a new company calle eResQ. The company will offer discontinued and refurbished Mac equipment, and will offer a host of support and service options. According to eResQ:

MacResQ Industries, Inc. and MacWorks, LLC announced today that they have agreed to merge their companies. The combination will create a diversified technology company that will continue to offer its core products and services to customers worldwide, while at the same time beginning an aggressive expansion plan to offer new products and services to both existing and new customers.

The combined company, which will operate under the name eResQ, will have facilities in both Concord, California and Overland Park, Kansas. eResQ will consolidate its sales and marketing efforts at its California location and move all inventory and product distribution to its facilities in Overland Park, Kansas.

Upon completion of the merger, which is expected by October 2000, Jim Harris, MacWorksi Chief Executive Officer will be Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of eResQ. Chris Baumann, MacResQ Industriesi President, will be Chief Technology Officer. Shannon Jean, MacResQ Industriesi Chief Executive Officer, will be President.
