New Desktops At Mandolux

· by Mike Washlesky · News

Mandolux has released new desktops for download. The desktops are images for use as the background on Macs, and represent several different themes including absract imagery. According to Mandolux:

Mandolux has issued 11 new desktops: five Clouds & Skies (landscape/sky), five SR-71 Blackbird (aerospace), and one Technosis/Anthraxis (abstract/light). There is also a preview for an upcoming Vector-based desktop named Britannia.

About the desktops:

  • The new set of Clouds & Skies are named ‘Cali’ and they are part of the Giant/Dual Monitor desktop theme. It is a panoramic picture looking upward to a set of palm trees with a tremendously expansive blue sky as its background. The desktops are available in 1920x1200 (Giant), 1600x1200 (regular), in Dual Monitor setup, and in Letterbox format.
  • The new Technosis/Anthraxis desktop, named ‘Luces’, is quite frankly the second best desktop in this collection for yours truly (the number one desktop is ‘Borealis’). Luces is Spanish for ‘lights.’ Luces is truly one hell of a desktop to have since it conveys as sense of dynamism and danger. The original name for this desktop was ‘Deer View’
  • Lastly, there is a preview for an upcoming Vector-based desktop named Britannia

You can find more information about the new desktops at the Mandolux Web site. The desktops are available as free downloads.
