New Desktops At Mandolux

· by Mike Washlesky · News

Mandolux has released new desktops for download. The desktops are images for use as the background on Macs, and represent several different themes including absract imagery. According to Mandolux:

Mandolux has issued this week seven new desktops: two Vector-based (Abstract/Snowboarding), three Giant Petals (Nature/Lilly), a new Austere Petal (Nature/Rose Petal), and a new collection of desktops about Graffiti.

About the desktops:

  • The two new Vector-based desktops are titled TUBE and Eye Closed. TUBE is a desktop about snowboarding set in a wonderful bluish background. Eye Closed is a simple/abstract view of an eye
  • The new Giant Petals set is title Nielsine and it is a close-up photo of a red flower. The desktops are available in giant (1920x1200) and dual monitor setups (1600x1200, 1280x1024, 1152x864, and 1024x768)
  • Lastly, there is a new Graffiti theme with a reissue desktop titled Purple Haze. There is great excitement in my heart about this new theme of desktops– it represents how I got started into art and hopefully, it will show how beautiful graffiti is and can be. Another reason why I’m starting this theme is due in part to my city’s latest attempts to squash all forms of graffiti throughout the city (even when it is obviously art)

You can find more information about the new desktops at the Mandolux Web site. The desktops are available as free downloads.
