· by · News

Apple rolled out two new Get a Mac commercials over the weekend that target Microsoftis Windows Vista operating system and jab at the Redmond companyis attempt to bolster its reputation through a US$300 million marketing campaign. Both commercials feature John Hodgman and Justin Long in their familiar roles as PC and Mac.

Bean Counter: Just put the money in advertising.

Microsoft recently began its own ad campaign in a move to help improve the image of Windows Vista. The ads included two commercials that featured Bill Gates and comedian Jerry Seinfeld, and most recently an ad that is clearly in response to Appleis Get a Mac campaign -- complete with a tan-suited frumpy man calling himself "PC."

Appleis Bean Counter and V Word commercials maintain the companyis proactive approach to marketing the Mac and related products. Both are available in QuickTime format at the Apple Web site.
